Cropped top- H&m, Skirt- Forever21, Shoes- Zara, Sunglasses & bag- H&m, Bracelets- Forever21 and Diva, On my lips- Mac's Impassioned
It's been getting hotter by the day. This is the time of the year where I give my jeans and leggings some rest and get out the dresses and skirts. I have collected a few mid length skirts over the last couple of months but this is the first time I actually wore it out. They are comfortable, chic and perfect for summer. The style could make you look shorter because of the length so add some heels to counter that. So get out ladies and rock it 50's style. Also, don't forget to check out the Styledrive for Spring Break collection. A similar mid length skirt will be up soon!

Leggings with leather trim- H&m(similar), Tank- Forever21, Top- H&m(similar), Necklace- H&m, Cuff- Colaba, Shoes- Zara, Bag- Mango(similar), On my lips- Mac's Lady Danger
I am such a leggings girl, it's not even funny. It started out with a plain black pair from Topshop, 3 years ago and since then I've collected a pair in pink, blue, orange, you name it & I probably have it. I have been wanting to get the faux leather one's but the weather in this country is hardly conducive for those. Hence I settled for this pair from h&m which has a faux leather trim running down the side. It's a piece that can add instant edge to a simple outfit. And because I will always have that girly side to me I had to add some red lipstick and shoes to balance it out and add a pop of colour. I've also been dying to rock the boxy jackets but instead I decided to add a boxy button up top which is rather comfortable and more suitable for this horrible weather.

Accessories can make any piece of clothing so versatile. And unlike clothes you can use the same accessories multiple times to create so many different looks. Always invest in good accessories. I'd rather spend less on clothes and more on accessories. An outfit for me can never be complete without the right accessories. While some find it easy to coordinate, others tend to overload. The right kind and amount of accessories could change the look of an outfit whereas over accessorizing can even make an Alexander McQueen look stale. So if you're someone with an unstable hand and are not very good at coordination then I suggest you stick to the any two rule. What the rule says is that you can choose any 2 types of accessories for an outfit. Say either a necklace and bracelets or earrings and a belt or statement shoes and a statement necklace, so on and so forth. Let me give you a low down on how you could layer your accessories or make sure you're not over doing it.
1) Bracelets
Bracelets be it in the form of cuffs or delicate dainty ones, look stunning when layered. While layering make sure to layer about 3-6 pieces. You could layer bracelets of the same colour palette or go for contrasting colours. You could even mix metals to create a fun effect. For a modern look layer bracelets along with your watch. Make sure that the bracelets are different in style and texture for a more refined look.
2) Necklaces Collar necklaces are a rage right now. Statement necklaces can add to an outfit like no other. You could either wear one necklace or layer several to create a greater impact. However make sure that you're wearing a simple top or dress if you're layering a bunch of necklaces. You don't want a printed top to clash with all the necklaces. No-no.
3)Belts Belts are a great way of adding something more to an outfit. Like any other accessory it can help you dress up or dress down an outfit. Add a belt to a printed dress to break the look where as add a belt to a casual top and skirt ensemble to add some dimension to it. Belts with huge buckles are really in right now. But if you're someone who loves thin belts try layering 2 belts for a different attire.
4)Sunglasses Sunglasses are probably the easiest way to glam up a day outfit. Put together your outfit and add a pair of sunglasses to instantly go from causal to chic. They can totally set the mood of an outfit whether it's your retro sunglasses, the trendy cat eyes sunglasses or even the classic aviators or wayfarers. Just make sure that your sunglasses compliment the structure of your face. And voila!
5)Bags Bags add a finishing touch to an outfit. So make sure to pick one that compliments your look. A fringe bag with a lady-like dress is a complete no-no. To make sure that your bag fits the bill match the colour either to your shoes or to a hue from the outfit. If your outfit is simple add an embellished or bright coloured bag to balance it out. Also keep the event you're going to in mind. A satchel is perfect for the day whereas a clutch or a sling bag is just about right for brunches and night outs.
6)Shoes Crappy shoes can make the most perfect and well accessorized outfit look preposterous. Make sure to either wear a pair which blends well into your ensemble or if you're wearing a simple monochrome outfit then go for printed statement shoes. A bright pair of shoes can dress up even a pair of casual tee and jeans. A pair of good shoes can not only make you feel phenomenal but it will also work wonders for your confidence.
Keep these tips in mind when you're dressing up next to create a perfect outfit. Good Luck ladies!

Denims- Zara(new collection), Black&white tank- Colaba, Mint sheer shirt- Styledrive collection, Floral jacket- Styledrive collection, Cream asymmetrical top- Mesh, All shoes- Steve Madden, Black bag- Steve Madden, Nude clutch- Thrifted, Yellow clutch- Zara
Coloured denims are here to stay and you guys know my obsession with them. However going ahead and adding these bubblegum pink pants to my wardrobe was a huge step. There is a very thin line between looking chic in pink and resembling barbie. Here are a few things that you might want to keep in mind :-
1) Black & White Adding a black or white or a black and white printed top is the easiest way to style these pants. You could go with a sheer black shirt, a classic white one or even pair it with a black and white polka dots or floral top. This will ease you in with the idea of wearing super bright pants and balance the look. Add a big black bag and some jewellery to add a modern touch.
2) Pastels Paring pastels together is such a huge trend right now. And no, no one is complaining. The colour palletes are so flattering and look so fresh when paired together. I love how the mint shirt complements the pink colour. So if you're someone who likes turning heads, this is the way to go. Try using silver tone jewellery with these colours. It will enhance the colours.
3) Florals Floral has always been a spring/summer trend but this year it's blooming like never before. Going from bright bold prints to subtle pastel one's they are all over the place. So this is an outfit for those of you who love being on trend. Balance out the floral and the pink with a neutral piece like this cream asymmetrical top that I wore. Add some statement gold jewellery to finish the look.
And now the news!!! So I have been working with this wonderful store to come up with a spring/summer line for them. It has been the most amazing and enriching experiences of my life, so far. I have had so much fun putting together the entire collection, it's been stressful but it's such a satisfying place to be in. The collection will be available by the 1st week of April at the store and online. I hope you guys liked the video and I hope there is something for everyone in the collection! Thank you so much for all the support you guys have given me, it means a lot. Will give you details on the store and how you could buy the pieces soon!

Shirt- Topshop, Necklace- Colaba, Polishes used- Orange Mimosa by Colorbar, Opi's Extra-va-vaganza, Incolor Chrome nail makeup 04(random), Revlon's nail enamel in Natural
Hey everyone! S & I have just been so caught up with work for the past couple of weeks so we have had no time to go shoot an outfit post! So I thought meanwhile I'd share a few how to's with you! I hope you guys enjoyed the previous one. Anyway, this has been my favourite way of wearing my nails since December. I love the two-toned, shimmery & dainty effect that it gives.
What you need :-
Your favourite nail varnish shade
A glitter polish
A polish with chunkier glitter
Top coat
Steps
1) Apply two coats of your favourite nail varnish. I am obsessed with tangerine(which our dearest Pantone says is the colour of the year). You could switch it up with a pastel colour or a darker shade.
2) Carefully apply a coat of the glitter polish but make sure to apply it only up to the middle of your nails.
3) Apply a coat of the chunkier glitter polish on the top half of each nail where you applied the smaller glitter polish.
4) Lastly, just apply a top coat to make sure the glitter stays in place and to give your nails a smooth finish.
And voilà. Hope you guys liked it! Do post pictures on my Facebook Page if you happen to try it.
