Shoes- Clarks, Blouse- Forever21, Skirt- H&M, Hat- Aldo, Bag- Faballey, Cuff- Colaba

This was my look for Tuesday! Most of my Tueday's are spent juggling between meetings and on such days I like to start with some fresh air. It could be a stroll at Marive Drive or just a quick run before I go about my day. I seem to dress semi-casual for almost all my meetings. It's always comfort over style for such long days but I like to be well put together too! So for this outfit I went with a very casual army green skirt which matches the shoes perfectly & dressed it up a little with this navy and white polka dot blouse! I love these two colours together! For some clash of print, I added the animal print sling bag and finished the look off with a statement cuff. What do you guys think of this look?

Blazer- Marks & Spencer, Dress- Hues, Bag- Rebecca Minkoff, Rings- Romwe, Bracelet- PipaBella, On my lips- Cosmo by Mac

When it rains, all I want to do is, sit with my hot chocolate by the window and admire. And yes, I've done a lot of that in the past one week while the rain gods were going berserk! So when I finally had to step out, smashing prints was the only thing on my mind. I've attempted mixing florals with stripes before and so this time I opted for yet another classic print, the polka dots. I grabbed this jersey jacket in the mid-season Marks&Spencer sale and boy do I love it! When mixing prints, the basic rule is to use one colour as your base colour which would act as a mediator between the prints, which for me was navy blue. The navy blue in the dress and the blazer help create a perfect outfit despite the contradicting prints. I added some minimalistic rings, a wrap bracelet and my current favourite bag to complete the look!

Now the reason I had to step out was to attend a meeting for the exhibition I'm hosting this Saturday, 22nd June 2013, for the Final Sale of the StyleDrive for Spring Break collection along with the phenomenal upcoming jewellery brand, PipaBella! I adore their jewellery and here's a chance for you to grab some pieces from their semi-annual sale and also get a preview of their brand new Monsoon Collection! Come say Hello to me at Lagerbay between 12 to 6 pm and grab some steal deals. I'd love to see you there!

I've heard the best outfits are the one's that come together in 5 minutes and for me this was one of them. I wore this outfit to a recent Steve Madden event. The invite looked fun and so I decided to dress up in a fun complimentary outfit. If you follow my Facebook page, then you know that I am currently obsessed with yellow and this jacket seemed to fit right in. It's bright, it's light and it's oh so flattering. I contrasted the bright hue with a navy polka dotted dress that I recently scored at Hues(it's originally from Charlotte Rousse). It's got a cutout at the back and that's the reason why I had to have it, besides the fact that it was a steal. And for some reason, I seem to love the yellow and navy combination. I decided to have an arm party so I stacked up all the bracelets I currently own. No I'm kidding, it would take more than 2 hands to stack up all the bracelets I own. And finally I finished the look off with some sky high heels. Wondering where my bag is? Well I decided to give my clutch a skip & may I add that it was one of the best decisions I've taken so far because during the entire event I had a cupcake in one hand and a wine glass in the other. C'est la vie.

Of polka dots & leather trims

Leggings with leather trim- H&m(similar), Tank- Forever21, Top- H&m(similar), Necklace- H&m, Cuff- Colaba, Shoes- Zara, Bag- Mango(similar), On my lips- Mac's Lady Danger

I am such a leggings girl, it's not even funny. It started out with a plain black pair from Topshop, 3 years ago and since then I've collected a pair in pink, blue, orange, you name it & I probably have it. I have been wanting to get the faux leather one's but the weather in this country is hardly conducive for those. Hence I settled for this pair from h&m which has a faux leather trim running down the side. It's a piece that can add instant edge to a simple outfit. And because I will always have that girly side to me I had to add some red lipstick and shoes to balance it out and add a pop of colour. I've also been dying to rock the boxy jackets but instead I decided to add a boxy button up top which is rather comfortable and more suitable for this horrible weather.

A Spring Day

Shirt- H&M(old), Bottoms- Zara, Shoes- Asos(gift from boifie), Watch- Michael Kors, Clutch- Aldo, Bracelets- Assorted(styldrv),Rings- RepublicOfchic and styldrv, Sunglasses- Asos, On my lips- Istanbul soft cream by Nyx

Wore this outfit to a casual lunch with a few friends. I love the contrast of the mustard top and the beige jeans. I added the polka dots clutch to create some dimension and added some gold jewellery along with my rose gold watch. I also put in some accents of blue with my ring and nail varnish. And finally finished it off with sky high heels. It's beginning to get a little hot here and so this outfit was perfect in terms of the colours and level of comfort.
While we're still here, what's your all time favourite go-to outfit?

Mix & Match

Tank- American Apparel, Shorts- Colaba(old), Cardigan- Forever New, Brogues- Zara, Tights- Vero Moda, Bag- Zara, Necklace- Forever21, Rings- Aldo,Forever New

Mixing prints can be a risky path to take. I frankly don't take this route too often but when I do, I keep a few things in mind which may help you a little if you wish to try it.

- Start by mixing 2 prints first. Once you become a pro at it you can go for 3, 4 or whatever suits you.

- Make sure one print is bolder than the other. For example my polka dot shorts are more prominent than the stripped tank top. This will help in balancing the entire look.

- Try taking contrasting shades to create a nice visual effect. But make sure they compliment each other.

- Choose one colour as your base colour and add or subtract a few layers. Like for me, I added the cardigan and tights.

- Last, accessorize with neutral colours like tan, nude, beige, etc.

And voila.
Don't worry if you don't get it right the first time! Keep trying ladies. Hope this helps you in mixing & matching.

P.S : - Happy Republic Day to all my Indian viewers! :)
