Jeans- LEE Jeans, Long Jacket- Express, Knotted Tank- Forever21, Shoes- Steve Madden, Choker Necklace- here, Cuff- (similar) here & here, Earring worn as cuff- StyldrvXSf

A trusted pair of denims is an answer to almost all of your fashion problems! On days when I can't seem to hit a jackpot with my styling abilities, I always look towards my jeans. A simple, well fitted pair of blue denims make the perfect base for styling day time outfits. I would either just throw on a cute t-shirt or a printed shirt or even just a simple white tank. Even though I love jeans, they seem to take a backseat during the summer months. So when Lee contacted me to introduce me to their brand new line of No Sweat denims, I was super excited to check them out and see if that actually works.

I visited the store and tried on a bunch of them and fell in love with light blue pair. The fit is amazing and it really does not seem taxing to wear these during thewarm days. It's made with a technology that helps evaporate sweat faster keeping you cooler and drier no matter what you do in them or how hot it is! This range also includes a linen blend denim which is much lighter and hence perfect for sunny climes, another one that is enriched with moisturizing elements that protect and nourishes your skin and another pair of Fragrant denims that will help you stay fresh and invigorated all day long! With these in your wardrobe, your summer worries will all be sorted. Slip into one to experience and embrace the season of cool.

For this outfit, I decided to start with a simple knotted tank from Forever21 and layered it with this shirt dress from Express! I have been loving the long outer wear trend so this satiated that need. For jewellery, I kept it simple with a modern choker necklace and some cuffs from my StyldrvXSF collection which btw is available at discounted prices only until the 31st May. I hope you guys are having a wonderful summer! Do follow me on Instagram for everyday updates and interactions.

All jewellery- Bloom by Tanishq, Top- Romwe, Bralet- Pull&bear

Spring brings with it a scenery that is hard to ignore. The blooming flowers, clear skies & bright sun have us all inspired in innumerable ways. My style definitely gets influenced by it and I love wearing floral prints, stripes and lots of creams, blues and bright hues. The traditional floral shirts get quickly replaced by it's cropped counterparts this season. My favourite way to style them is with skirts of all forms! Unintentionally, all my jeans and trousers tend to take a backseat as we get closer to the hotter months and what I seem to enjoy wearing is skirts & dresses. This year particularly, I have been hooked on to maxi dresses as well as maxi skirts. Not only are they super comfortable and stylish, they are also extremely versatile when it comes to styling. Another trend that has been doing the rounds this season are the loose flowy trousers which tend to resemble maxi skirts but are seemingly more relaxed yet chic!

When it comes to my jewellery, I tend to stick to minimalistic pieces which are also adaptable. Which is why, the new Bloom collection by Tanishq is everything I could ask for this spring! Spring signifies new life, beauty, strength and purity which is why this collection is vibrant, simple yet timeless, celebrating the beauty & energy of every woman. Every piece is inspired by the unique patterns of Sunflowers, Lillies, Roses, Gerberas, Hydrangeas, Chrysanthemum and their intricate petal details. I don't don diamond jewellery that often as I am a fairly clumsy person but when I do, the design has to be simple yet alluring with a modern twist and the perfect amount of detail. Maybe that's the reason that these pieces caught my eye instantly! If you are lured in already, here's a chance for you to win some of this exquisite jewellery! All you have to do is, take part in the Bloom Sparkle Hunt by visiting the Tanishq blog and find the codes of 2 of the pieces that I am wearing in these pictures, match them and list them down in the comment box on their blog. You can follow them on Facebook & Twitter to stay updated with the next step! Don't forget to leave your email address so that if you win, they can get in touch with you asap! Goodluck ladies, go make me proud!

For those of you who missed out of this post from last week, this month I am doing a fun collaboration with Stylefiesta.com wherein I created a capsule collection of a few selected pieces! As it begins to get hotter by the day, I tend to stick to more minimalistic pieces of jewellery. I have been loving the cutout cuffs and the new twist on chokers trend! Easy pieces that can instantly add a modern edge to almost any outfit. Statement earrings and necklaces are a staple in all our wardrobes. And even though I own enough, I can barely stop myself from reaching for the ones in fresher hues. Bright orange and yellow, fuchsia or even a simple white one, fit perfectly in my summer wardrobe. Body chains is another thing I am trying out this summer. They seem to work splendidly with them coveted cropped tops. Which is your current favourite summer jewellery piece?

As a girl, there are various issues to examine constantly or shall I say you're forced to look into them constantly? Body issues, hair issues, fashion issues, work issues and then of course there are those consistent family, friends and boyfriend issues. And in between all this, if you're slightly visible on the internet front, it gets worse. People judge you as if they were born to do that. Suggestions are always welcome but not in a 'oh this didn't help, so why did you do this post?' kinda way. I mean obviously you are unaware of the efforts that go into doing a post and all that. But then again, I guess it's all a part and parcel of the life you choose. So the real challenge is to stay true to yourself in between all this chaos and smile.

Be it your personality or your style, for me there's got to be some stability or else it's just a mere portrayal of something you'd rather be. Change is good sometimes though, no really. As individuals we change throughout our lives but those changes are a cause and effect of the experiences we go through. It's different to walk out of a movie and feel a little like the character from it while your drive back home and it's completely different to constantly want to be like someone else. In today's world of excessive indulgence through social media and constant display of things, it's easy to get carried away. For example you may like a dress on someone you saw on Instagram and then spend the entire day hunting it down and when you're finally there, you start thinking, wait would this even suit me? Exactly. Why didn't you think that at Level 1?  Worse, if you start thinking about that once you've already bought the dress!

As far as fashion goes, everyone would like to believe that there are no rules. But there are some rules that you really must follow. First, the awareness that certain things make you look your best and that some styles are just not meant for your body type. Trust me once you have this sorted, everything gets easier; shopping, dressing up every morning and looking good! Because your closet will only have things that look good on you instead of that hanger! Second, just because your favourite magazine/website insists that you "need" those pants, does not mean that you need them. It's their job to bring new trends(sometimes repeated) to you but it's upto you to fall into that pit or not. Trendy pieces are often nothing but a passing phase. So you don't want to buy something unless you absolutely love it. And thirdly, experimenting. It's perfectly normal to experiment with the new trends/colours for different seasons. But what's important is not getting entirely carried away by them. For me, I'd always make sure that, if I'm trying a new trend there has to be one variable that is constant and the others can keep changing. For example if I am choosing to experiment with a dress in a trendy print I'd make sure that the cut of the dress is the kind that flatters me! So it's really a win win then.

A lot of people might call this 'safe dressing'. But for me looking good and feeling good at all times is much higher than blindly falling prey to this ever changing phenomena called fashion. Your individuality is what makes your style, don't let it get lost in this realm of distractions.

Summer in Clinique

 photo 3_zps81b6ce5b.jpg
Summer is here and so are the fun summer beauty trends! Bright lips, bold shadows, quirky eyeliners are all such a rage this summer! A simple way of adding some colour to your everyday make up is by switching up that boring black kohl with a emerald or khaki colour liner! Both these colours work wonders with brown eyes. Navy blue or purple are also some complimentary alternatives. Another way to add colour is to swipe on that beautiful coral lipstick or rock your favourite red pout! Make sure to keep the rest of your make up subtle and let your lips enjoy it's moment of glory. I avoid using a full coverage foundation during this time of the year. A BB cream is the perfect alternative!
Skincare is also very important. Make sure to use a SPF every single day as the sun is way more harsh. Using a sunscreen will not only protect your skin from getting tanned but it also prevents premature ageing, wrinkles, etc. Along with this use a good moisturizer. A lot of people tend to skip the moisturizer during summer because they don't think it's necessary as their skin in not feeling as dry as it would in winter! Don't fall into that pit. It's extremely important to moisturize your skin throughout the year!

These are some of the do's and don't's that I follow during summer, tell me your hot tips, cool looks, fresh ideas and thanks to Grazia and Clinique you could win a chance to come visit the Clinique store with me, check out their new collection, get some expert advice and you can also take home some lovely Clinique goodies! So what are you waiting for? Customized Suede loafers from Sole'D Shoes

It's been a long month and all of these things have either made my life easier or nicer and hence the tag! I received the Quirkbox planner back in March and I swear to god, life has gotten busier since that day. Maybe it's a lucky charm? Who knows. Talking about lucky charms, at Anna Sui's new perfume launch, the host insisted that this perfume is meant to bring your dreams come true. Sure, nice try. But keeping that lure point aside, I've genuinely been enjoying the lovely floral scent which works perfectly for this time of the year!

Lip products have always been of keen interest to me, as far as make up goes. A pink pout, be it a soft pink pout for the day or that bright fuchsia for the night are perfect for summer. Another colour that I have been loving is Tangerine! I was never into Tangerine until last year, when the colour took the fashion world by storm. And now in 2013, I'm still hooked. These super comfortable suede loafers by Sole'D Shoes can be customized into a ton of colours but when I was asked to pick a colour, guess what I chose!

The past few months have been a roller coaster ride! I've been super busy juggling multiple things. But now that I'm kind of wrapping up most things, I cannot wait to take a quick break and be back refreshed, relaxed and inspired! This outfit pretty much explains my current state of mind. Flowy, colourful clothes have been my go-to recently. Even though I love Black, I am trying to stay away from it, as much as I can. I mean monochrome is a huge spring trend so you can't blame me for a few outfits, but for the most part, I am embracing colour like never before. This cropped top yells out summer like no other. I love the cutout detail at the back and the fact that this top can work wonders with anything high waisted! As for the skirt, I bought it back in November from the Asos sale, and have loved it since. If you follow me on Instagram you've seen me wear this before too with a b&w polka dot top. I decided to accessorize with some statement jewellery, a metallic bag and elegant nude sandals. Anyways, I am going to get back to my Holiday planning now! I hope you guys are having a wonderful summer and are as excited as me for the rest of it!

Dress- Colaba(Pax), Denim Jacket- Topshop, Bag- Zara, Shoes- Aldo, Bracelets-Forever21, Aldo, Necklace- Hillroad, Bandra

Recently I've been piled on with so much work! I enjoy working but when you have a meeting every single day, it becomes a task to dress chic each time. So, I've created a few comfortable and stress free outfits for this work laden month. This outfit just happens to be one of them; a severly printed floral dress with a go-to denim jacket, comfortable shoes and a sling bag! I got this dress, back in November from Pax for Rs.150. No, I did not miss a zero there. It's got some light shoulder pads and is a dream day dress. The print, the length, the cut, make it so day time appropriate. Pairing a dress with a denim jacket instantly turns it into something so modish. A denim jacket is the best layering piece for summer and if you don't have one already, I propose you start your hunt now! For me, an outfit is incomplete without jewellery, so I added some arm candy and a jewelled collar necklace to this ensemble. What is your go-to spring/summer outfit? Comment below or click a picture and tag me on Instagram or Twitter. I could really use some cool outfit ideas!

Shirt- Zara, Skirt-Forever21(worn here), Belt- Zara(sale), Shoes-Asos, Embellished clutch- Forever21, Earrings- Hill road, Rings- Aldo, Blur, Pipa+Bella

Stripes are one of the most prominent trends for Spring/Summer 2013. They were seen all over the runways of Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Michael Kors, to name a few and now they are overwhelming the high street stores. Nautical stripes are always big for summer but this time around we will see a modern version of this classic print. Even though stripes in various colours and sizes are doing the rounds, black & white stripes are the most common ones. I adore this shirt from Zara as it works with absolutely anything and I love the oh so flattering vertical stripes. I've had this shirt for a week and I've already worn it thrice, once with a pair of leather leggings, another time with bubble gum pink skinny jeans and this time around with a skirt in a neutral hue. Adding a simple piece like this shirt to your wardrobe is an easy way to incorporate the trend. If you're feeling a bit daring, you could even experiment with a pair of vertical striped pants or statement striped shoes. I accessorized the ensemble with yet another trendy piece, the embellished clutch! This is a Forever21 buy that I will cherish forever. The clutch not only provides the right amount of colour to an outfit like this but I also love the tribal feel of its design. I added some rings and statement earrings to finish off the look. I hear statement earrings is another trend which is making a huge come back this summer! So if you've hidden those chandelier earrings, it's time to bring out the stash!
