As a girl, there are various issues to examine constantly or shall I say you're forced to look into them constantly? Body issues, hair issues, fashion issues, work issues and then of course there are those consistent family, friends and boyfriend issues. And in between all this, if you're slightly visible on the internet front, it gets worse. People judge you as if they were born to do that. Suggestions are always welcome but not in a 'oh this didn't help, so why did you do this post?' kinda way. I mean obviously you are unaware of the efforts that go into doing a post and all that. But then again, I guess it's all a part and parcel of the life you choose. So the real challenge is to stay true to yourself in between all this chaos and smile.

Be it your personality or your style, for me there's got to be some stability or else it's just a mere portrayal of something you'd rather be. Change is good sometimes though, no really. As individuals we change throughout our lives but those changes are a cause and effect of the experiences we go through. It's different to walk out of a movie and feel a little like the character from it while your drive back home and it's completely different to constantly want to be like someone else. In today's world of excessive indulgence through social media and constant display of things, it's easy to get carried away. For example you may like a dress on someone you saw on Instagram and then spend the entire day hunting it down and when you're finally there, you start thinking, wait would this even suit me? Exactly. Why didn't you think that at Level 1?  Worse, if you start thinking about that once you've already bought the dress!

As far as fashion goes, everyone would like to believe that there are no rules. But there are some rules that you really must follow. First, the awareness that certain things make you look your best and that some styles are just not meant for your body type. Trust me once you have this sorted, everything gets easier; shopping, dressing up every morning and looking good! Because your closet will only have things that look good on you instead of that hanger! Second, just because your favourite magazine/website insists that you "need" those pants, does not mean that you need them. It's their job to bring new trends(sometimes repeated) to you but it's upto you to fall into that pit or not. Trendy pieces are often nothing but a passing phase. So you don't want to buy something unless you absolutely love it. And thirdly, experimenting. It's perfectly normal to experiment with the new trends/colours for different seasons. But what's important is not getting entirely carried away by them. For me, I'd always make sure that, if I'm trying a new trend there has to be one variable that is constant and the others can keep changing. For example if I am choosing to experiment with a dress in a trendy print I'd make sure that the cut of the dress is the kind that flatters me! So it's really a win win then.

A lot of people might call this 'safe dressing'. But for me looking good and feeling good at all times is much higher than blindly falling prey to this ever changing phenomena called fashion. Your individuality is what makes your style, don't let it get lost in this realm of distractions.

Bag- Armani Exchange via Elitify, Dress- Asos, Shoes- Zara, Necklace- Hillroad, Cuff- H&M, On my nails- Peachy Keen by China Glaze, On my Lips- Dolce Vita by Nars

Online shopping is at it's peak at the moment in India. Everyday, I am introduced to newer sites aiming at various categories but very few actually manage to catch my attention. So much so that I have to check them twice a week! So when I got contacted by Elitify.com to introduce me to their new edition, I was more than happy to browse through. They've been successfully running the men's version for a while now and just recently launched the women's version! Not only is the website user friendly, the selection of products is just bang on. From Prada shoes to Michael Kors bags to J. Crew jewellery to Urban Decay and Victoria's Secret beauty products, there is something for everyone. And frankly, it's hard to resist once you're on it. My Wish List is never ending!
For this particular outfit, I picked this gorgeous snake print tote from Armani Exchange which tackles with the peachy-ness of my dress perfectly whilst adding a hint of print. I threw on a statement necklace in a similar blue hue to bring some symmetry to the outfit. My favourite pair of nude heels and Nars Velvet Matte lip pencil in Dolce Vita to finish off the look.

Shoes- Clarks, Dress- Marks&Spencer, Bag- Aldo, Bracelets- Aldo, PipaBella, Forever21, Ring- Asos

I'm sure a lot of you are aware of my on going affair with skater dresses but what you're not aware of, is the fact that I'm currently cheating on them. And this dress is where it all started. I have a pear shaped body and I always thought that a shift dress is not made for me. But I was wrong. The shift dress which hangs straight down from your shoulders, flatters almost every body type. It skims your body nicely but does not cling. Sleeveless shift dresses are even more versatile as you can add a shirt or t-shirt underneath them to change up the look. I like wearing shift dresses as they are easy to throw on for a casual day but can look formal enough for meetings too. I love how the geometric print on the dress refrains it from being just a normal black dress. The coral and blue hints give it a fresh feel. I added some simple two tone heels and a structured black satchel to finish off the look. I also carry these super chic snake print sandals in my bag because when it starts pouring, I really can't do in heels. Plus, I love the clash of print! So don't be scared to play up a little and be experimental with your style. You never know when you'll stumble upon your new favourite.

Shoes are always such an essential part of every outfit. They can help you dress up or dress down any look. Now there are several ways to quickly transform your casual day time outfit into a chic night time look. You can do it with your makeup, your accessories, a blazer or a pair of heels!  I love wearing flats through the day as they are perfect for running in and out of quick meetings and running errands. But I need heels for any special occasions or night outs or events to make me feel a bit more dressy and confident. There are days when I head out in the morning and can only get back post dinner! A maxi dress or skirt is hence, my perfect companion. They are so versatile, comfortable and can easily be transformed into a night time outfit if needed. I wore this outfit yesterday through a couple of meetings and then later met him up for a cute dinner date. All I really did, was change from my comfortable white sandals into these chunky nude heels with a metallic accent to accentuate that romantic look.

Blazer- Marks & Spencer, Dress- Hues, Bag- Rebecca Minkoff, Rings- Romwe, Bracelet- PipaBella, On my lips- Cosmo by Mac

When it rains, all I want to do is, sit with my hot chocolate by the window and admire. And yes, I've done a lot of that in the past one week while the rain gods were going berserk! So when I finally had to step out, smashing prints was the only thing on my mind. I've attempted mixing florals with stripes before and so this time I opted for yet another classic print, the polka dots. I grabbed this jersey jacket in the mid-season Marks&Spencer sale and boy do I love it! When mixing prints, the basic rule is to use one colour as your base colour which would act as a mediator between the prints, which for me was navy blue. The navy blue in the dress and the blazer help create a perfect outfit despite the contradicting prints. I added some minimalistic rings, a wrap bracelet and my current favourite bag to complete the look!

Now the reason I had to step out was to attend a meeting for the exhibition I'm hosting this Saturday, 22nd June 2013, for the Final Sale of the StyleDrive for Spring Break collection along with the phenomenal upcoming jewellery brand, PipaBella! I adore their jewellery and here's a chance for you to grab some pieces from their semi-annual sale and also get a preview of their brand new Monsoon Collection! Come say Hello to me at Lagerbay between 12 to 6 pm and grab some steal deals. I'd love to see you there!

Dress- Kiosha.com, Jacket- Reiss(old), Shoes- Mango(similar), Bracelets & ring- Kiosha.com, On my lips- Nyx lipcream in Amsterdam

Certain things always bring a smile to your face. Be it someone you love, your favourite drink, smiling people, the first monsoon spell or even your favourite colour combination! Colours are said to have a great influence on your mood. Certain colours are bound to lift your spirits and make you happier. For me, I love all shades of blue and I love mixing it with other hues! Cobalt blue with red and turquoise with orange or yellow are some of my all time favourite combinations. So when I saw this dress on Kiosha, I immediately knew I had to pair it with my cropped jacket. Light and flowy, this dress is perfect for summer days. And it is bang on trend with the uneven stripes. I accessorized with some bracelets and a statement ring. The white mango wedges help pull the entire look together giving it a sporty feel. What's your favourite colour combination this summer?

My skin tends to be at it's worse in summer. The sweat, pollution just increases the clogging of pores & leaves me with what looks like a big mess! Hence, I'm always on the look out for products that would help me on a daily basis and take me one step closer to nicer looking skin. I was recently sent this new product by Nivea which claims to do a lot in just 5 minutes. Now I am not someone to fall for what advertisements or brand ambassadors have to say, so I had to try it myself to believe it. After using this product for a month, I have reached to a some what positive conclusion. Now let's take a look at some of the Pro's & Con's.

Pro's
- Easy to use.
- It's mild enough to be used as an every day scrub/wash.
- Leaves you with softer, cleaner looking skin.
- Helps makeup go on better.
- Gets rid of that slight daily tan.
- Doesn't dry out your skin, whatsoever.
- Not time consuming & hence can be easily added to one's skincare routine.
- Budget friendly.
-Works for men too. (tried & tested)

Con's
- The smell can sometimes be a bit over whelming.
- Effect lasts only for a day and so it has to be used everyday.
- Does not get rid of blackheads.

Over all it's a good product to try out. It may work for some and may not work so well for others depending on your skin type and how often you tend to use it. For me, I use it thrice a week which leaves with me unclogged pores & fresh looking skin. Is it a holy grail? Not really. But it definitely is a quick fix when you have no time to go to a salon for a clean up.
